I have been suffering from a really bad cold since the last couple of days, had to miss work also yesterday, I just had energy to make this card,
which is for the second Crafty JC Challenge. The challenge is to use these ingredients on your project:
1 Patterned Paper
2 Colours - Pink and Brown
Since I don't have any pink n brown pp I've used a super cool technique of repeatedly stamping the same pattern to create my own patterned paper. I learnt this from Karen, who is the guest blogger at Yvonne's blog this week. Do check checkout the tutorial here.
An instant book for my brother-in-law Zico on his birthday. Thoroughly enjoyed myself while making it, used loads of foam stickers, love the bright colors, some stamping, some buttons to complete the card.
I made a few rakhi cards last week but was too lazy to post.......these cards have detachable rakhis which can be removed from the card. I've used a lot traditional Indian motifs n laces, and lots of stitching.....
Made this card based on Card Patterns Sketch #77...done some up-cycling, the bow is from a scrap strip of fabric, the "honey" tag is from a tshirt I bought recently, the flowers (inspired by Yvonne's lovely felt flowers) and butterflies are made using an old wedding invite....have added some bling to the butterflies (not visible clearly in the picture).
Have a great week!
This year's birthday turned out to be really really special........I got tons of wishes n some awesome handmade cards, it doesn't get better than this!
This is another lovely handmade card I got from Smita......
just love the pink n grey color combo........Thanks a lot Smita!
Everyone at home is super impressed with her's n Spardha's work (earlier they thought that I was very good at cardmaking......but now I guess they have their doubts :P)..........
I picked up this card making book from a book store on a whim recently.....though it is a really old edition (2000) n I guess most of the styles shown would be easily available on the net.....but at times its good to have every thing compiled in one place....
...well I like almost all the cards in it and will eventually try out most of them....this is the first one I tried, hasn't come out too well, but I guess it's ok for a start....
Have a great weekend!!
PS: I made this for a friend whose birthday was last month :( I am always running late
I made this for this month's challenge at Yvonne's blog, which is to make a project inspired by your dream vacation. My dream vacation would be by the sea side.......I just love lazing around on the beach enjoying the sea breeze....going for long walks on the wet sand.........
I have done a lot of stamping on this one, all the stamps are by Inkadinkado.......the main stamped image is inspired by this lighthouse in Goa....its a really old lighthouse and is not in use any more, but the view from it is awesome.......
Thank you so much for sending so much love n good wishes my way on my birthday........crafting n blogging have given me so much, esp so many friends like u!
Here's another card I got on my birthday, this one is by my DH, he used scraps lying on my desk to make it :)
It's my birthday tomorrow........n guess wht I got in the mail.......these gorgeous cards from Spardha........
Isn't she super talented?
It came as a really really pleasant surprise......this has to be the sweetest gift I ever got......I couldn't stop smiling for a long time after I got it :)
Thanks a ton Spardha, I'm touched beyond words.....u're the best!!!
Black is my favorite (this has a lot to do with me looking thin in black outfits :P)........I guess black and red go
I made this for a friend who shares her birthday with me (that's right my birthday is coming up real soon and I have something else to share related to that....)
The card is inspired by the the sketch at JC's Challenge blog..........she has started the first card challenge blog in India.......
Thanks for visiting!!!
This seems to be a complete Disney week for me! I made this for a friend's daughter's birthday, the theme of the birthday party was "Disney Princesses" so this seemed totally apt for the occasion.
This is again inspired by Card Patterns Sketch #75, I just love, will definitely make more cards based on it.
I've used loads of foam stickers, I just can't get enough of them!
Thanks for visiting!
Just a quick post before I head to the gym (I have been planning to hit the gym since the last 2 weeks but something or the other kept coming up....but no excuse will do today).I hope it doesn't start raining now, I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
I made this card for a friend's wedding anniversary......she had requested me to make a card with Winnie the Pooh and Eyore on it......
The card is inspired by Card Patterns sketch #75(I was really quick this time:P ).
